Bab 27: The Powerful G-grade
'Hmmm … what a weird sensation.' Carla suddenly thought as she stared at the wall in front of her before placing a hand over her chin.
'Should I?'
'I did say I was going to respect his privacy, but I sense a weird energy coming from his room, better to check and see if he is alright.' Carla thought before taking the device in her hands and using it to once again see through the wall.
Upon doing so, she smiled as she saw the naked Carl get out of the shower, only to break the shower door.
'So he has improved his strength yet again, incredibly, just what is he using to do that, did he manage to find some ancient manual?' Carla thought as she cocked her head to the side and observed Carl's muscular body.
'Is it only me, or is he a bit more muscular now as well, I wasn't focusing that much on his back that night, so I could have sworn it wasn't that well defined, he looks slightly wider as well.' Carla thought before Carl suddenly turned around and inspected the door that he broke.
'Definitely bigger, every single muscle.' Carla thought as she licked her lips and stared at Carl's body.
Thanks to the pills, Carl had gained more muscles and was becoming better looking even thanks to the body evolution pill as well as the minor body cleansing pill. The strength pill mostly destroyed and improved his muscles, so he was getting slightly buff, but the difference between his current state and how he looked mere hours ago was minimal, and only somebody like Carla would have been able to notice it.
'Seems like he hasn't been able to get a grip on his current strength, oh boy, that's not good, I'm actually tingling down there upon thinking that.' Carla thought as her free left hand suddenly went to her breasts and started massaging them before going down to between her legs.
'Without being able to control his strength, just like a wild animal, I wonder how it would feel if I went over right now to him.' Carla's imagination started running wild as she considered going to Carl right away, but she knew that he would definitely suspect that something is up if she did that.
'Dammit, I'm going to take my reward tomorrow Carl, and I'm taking it with interest.' Carla said before suddenly getting up from the bed and making her way to her bedroom.
After a couple of seconds, a buzzing sound could be heard, as well as Carla's moans.
'I'm going to need to buy another door.'
Dammit, this is the second one I break, I have to stop grabbing the door after taking the pills, even though I have money to buy them, people will get suspicious if they see me constantly buying stuff, it's annoying to explain things to people.
Alright, D-grade, sweet.
D-grade was still a low-ranked villain or hero, nothing special, but there are some, like the two that had attacked Nacht, that get stuck on this level forever. After all, both the VSA and the HA ( Hero Association ) have manuals that they had gotten from the sects they destroyed a long time ago, and they did use them to improve the overall strength of their contracted villains/heroes, as well as the handlers.
To be honest, I don't really know how the HA functions, but I doubt it's very different compared to the VSA as they also have handlers like we do.
Handlers are an important resource for both organizations and generally, their identities are kept a secret, even when they choose to also work as a villain or hero for their agency. They are known by that identity, but generally, the fact that they are a handler is kept a secret.
Of course, exceptions do exist, and there are several that are known to be handlers as well, but thanks to their incredible strength, they don't care.
Both agencies follow the same ranking, one that people are familiar with from gacha games.
The lowest rank is F, followed by E, D, C, B, A, then, the ranking goes a bit different as the next one is S, which stands for super, then there is SS, and finally, SSS.
The SSS-ranked heroes and villains are incredibly powerful, and yet, they aren't the most powerful. There exists a rank above them, one that is, for now, almost impossible to be reached as both the HA and the VSA had one such individual.
The rank is G, which, if we followed the order alphabetically, should be the worst, since it is right after F, but the G stands for something else.
It stands for God.
Yes, there are two beings on the planet, two beings of such incredible power, two beings that are so overwhelmingly stronger than even the SSS-ranked heroes and villains, that they are called Gods, as their strength practically makes them such beings.
Both of them are old, first appearing when powers started showing up, and they have both battled against each other for decades, but now, they rarely fought as a simple battle between them is enough to destroy a country, which isn't a speculation since the last time they fought 10 years ago, an entire country truly did cease to exist, and it only took them a day to do such a thing.
Both had been locked in battle and were fully focused on the fight, so neither one noticed that they destroyed an entire country in such a short period of time. Upon learning of it, the hero was said to have looked as if he was defeated, he almost crumbled from the guilt while the villain merely laughed.
Whenever they fought now, they would do it in space.
Oh yes, they can go to space, both of them can survive in space for a long period of time, which isn't that surprising since even some SS-ranked heroes and villains can do so.
'What should I do today, Carla is definitely going to want to come back here with me, so even if I get some new pills, I won't be able to use them at all.'
[ You could just get a hotel room. ]
'Why, she won't leave my side for sure, and we will probably be up most of the night, so what's the point in spending money to do something like that?'
[ Yeah, you're right, just bang her here, make sure not to destroy the bed though, or you'll have to sleep on the floor and buy a new one. ]
'Dammit, I guess I'll seriously have to take care of that.'
I groaned in annoyance before lying down on the bed and falling asleep. My dream, unfortunately, was one of Carla and Angela and what we had done that night.
I don't know why I had such a dream, nor why I remembered it so vividly.
Unbeknownst to Carl, Carla, who was in the apartment next to his, was the reason for his dream. She actually wasn't even doing it on purpose, it was her power that had been slightly released after she had 'played' previously and then fallen asleep that had done so.
It wasn't just Carl, but the entire building that was affected. Those that were lucky enough to be married or had their partner with them in bed were unable to fall asleep or stop playing with each other the whole night, and for those that passed next to the building, the moans of tens of people were easily heard, prompting some of them to curse at the building and what was going on, some even thought it had become a brothel and went to see if any room was available.
When I woke up the following morning, I was a bit annoyed as my 'friend' down there was quite lively thanks to the dream I had. I quickly got dressed as I overslept a bit, and even though I didn't need to be in the agency on time since I worked more than needed there, I still liked to start my day there and not get called by any villain I handle while driving.
I was able to see Carla the moment I stepped foot in the agency, and for some reason, she seemed a bit different today and merely told me hi before leaving.
Weird, she usually doesn't act like that, but oh well, not like I can do anything about it.
I saw Jonathan and Angela, who were still a bit shy around me thanks to the night we shared, and went to my office immediately and sat down before starting my day.
It turned out to be quite an uneventful one. Blorg was still making his items, and Nacht was still healing from the injuries he received, so for now, it seemed as if I won't be really working and can take it easy.
Of course, I didn't want to do that, so I made my way over to Manager Wang in order to try and get another villain under me. The agency had already given Nacht a promotion, and as a handler of a B-grade villain, as well as a C-grade one, I did have a bit more influence compared to the average C-grade handler.
