Bab 42: 41. Rayne's Reppercussions

The air in the room thickened as Rayne stared at the pill in Albert's hand. Rayne's immediate reaction was anger that Amber had actually exposed her. She had wanted to tell Albert everything in her own time. Now that was no longer an option. If and when she ever saw her again it was going to take every security officer on campus to pull her off that sneaky bitch. That was in the future though, she had to deal with the present now.

The moment had arrived too suddenly. She needed more time, time to explain. She needed a way to make sure this moment went in a way that didn't result in her losing him. Was that really what was at stake? Would he just walk out of her life? Would he hate her? Or would he let her explain? Was there a reality in which he saw things her way? She looked from the pill to Albert's confused gaze as the questions troubled her mind.

"Rayne, what the hell is goin on?" Albert asked, he was confused but didn't seem angry.
