Only two covens? Interesting. I never thought that a once great and ever powerful coven like the Volturi would be defeated by only two covens. Very interesting...
[ The downfall of the Volturi was shocking news for the supernatural world. Many sought after the Greek and Nordic covens and were grateful to them until this moment I write this thesis. However, their presence was very mysterious. They were like ghosts, coming and going just like a passing wind. They too cannot be found after their confrontation with the Volturi.
I too was grateful to them. So I've been researching or studying about them, such as where they resided, where the last time they were sighted was, and what powers they had that allowed them to stand toe to toe with the Volturi.
Many believed that it was because of their sheer number that they managed to defeat the Volturi. I once believed that theory as well, but if it was just numbers, then why couldn't the vampires who were oppressed by the Volturi unite against them? Why wouldn't they make an alliance or some sort to hold off against the Volturi?
The Volturi were not said to be the most powerful coven just because of their numbers; it's because they have something that other covens don't have or have very little of. And that is gifted and powerful vampires. The Volturi had many of them, such as Jane and Alec.
It is nearly impossible to stand against them with just numbers. With such powerful vampires, the Volturi were not afraid of numbers. So I came to the conclusion that the Greek and Nordic covens had something or some vampires that were as powerful as them or even more powerful than them. ]
It's just as I thought, the moment I came to this world, changes occur in this world, and it is not the same as the movies depicted and I know of. I thought the changes were only occurring around Forks and the Cullens, but something more unexpected happened outside.
[ A few months after the downfall of the Volturi, I began studying the Greek coven and the Nordic coven. However, my efforts were in vain. I found no information about them. As I mentioned earlier, it was very mysterious. They seemed like ghosts, leaving no trace behind.
So, I decided to ask vampires who have a good relationship with me and inquire about them. Some of them I considered as friends, acquaintances, and some were even like distant family, like the Denali coven. Unfortunately, the same thing happened. No one knew anything about them, except for the confrontation between them and the Volturi.
Then I came to seek answers from the Egyptian coven. They were considered to be the oldest among the vampires. Some said they were the very first vampires, some claimed they were the progenitors, and much more. However, I didn't believe that due to a lack of concrete proof. I certainly believed that they were one of the oldest, but not the oldest among the vampires.
When I was there, I met the coven leader, Amun. I asked him about the Greek and Nordic covens, the confrontation between them and the Volturi. However, he was unwilling to speak about it, so I tried to persuade him. Instead, he asked me, "Why are you looking for them when they're more powerful than the Volturi? Shouldn't you be afraid if they caught you gathering information about them?"
He's not wrong. What if my curiosity ended up causing my demise? After Amun's questions opened my eyes, I decided to drop everything, stop my research, study about them, and just focus on something else. ]
The rest of his study about the Greek and Nordic covens just ended there when he visited the Egyptian coven. I tried to search for more information about them, but I only found Carlisle's diary entry about the meeting between him and his family.
I sensed Alice's presence approaching me, and a moment later, she arrived with tea and some leftover food from the previous party. We greeted each other with gentle kisses. She then placed the tray on the table and went to the window to open the curtains.
When the curtains were lifted, I noticed that it was already morning. I didn't realize I had been indulging in studying Carlisle's research for this long. I then stood up and stretched my limbs.
Alice then came to me and said, "Shouldn't you get some sleep? It's been hours since you started studying."
I just smiled at her and took a sip of the tea. Then, I stood up and stretched my limbs. After that, I circulated my energy throughout my body to freshen up. However, while I was circulating my energy, I noticed that the energy I had placed on Alistair had disappeared!
Strange... there is no one in this world who can erase my energy just like that, and in such a short amount of time at that. I was even confident that no one could sense my energy. Then, the only thing left to consider is... if the target is dead.

(Few Hours Earlier - Third Person POV)
Alistair can be seen dashing his way through the dark alley, constantly glancing over his shoulder as if he is being chased by something. He turns his gaze back to the front and immediately startles because of what he sees, so he makes a sharp turn to the left and exits the alley.
He continues running and dashing as if he is avoiding something and before he realizes it, he is already in a public basketball court. He glances over his shoulder and there is an expression of relief on his face, but when he glances back to the front, he sees a person standing in all black clothing.
He was shocked and startled, attempting to make a run. However, when he turned around, there were five people standing in identical all-black clothing as the previous ones. He then turned in another direction and found more people surrounding him, making a total of ten individuals who formed a circle around him at the center.
Then, from among them, emerged one who, from the look this person gave, had a strong and authoritative demeanor. This person was indeed Josh, the individual who was given the task by the leader of the Daggers to pursue Alistair.
"Are you aware of what you've done, Alistair?"
