As soon as the papers landed on the table, not only the nobles were startled, but even the king almost jumped from his seat as he was excited to see what was happening.

"Gloria, is that true?" Her father asked.

The princess nodded in confirmation and continued with her explanation.

"This group is called the Makaris and they are willing to completely take over the merchant route to the west. The details of their offer are listed in the documents."

The king signalled to his secretary who quickly brought over a copy to examine.

"Are you going to trust the unknown traders over the family who has been loyal to the kingdom for generations?" Felix could no longer hide his displeasure.
