A twisted smile appeared on Yang Lingyun's lips, almost like a laugh. "Who said I am a gentleman?" 

Xia Lihua's eyes widened, realizing that this man had no good intentions! Swiftly, she pulled a sharp crimson colored hairpin from her hair and threw it precisely aiming for his throat.

The hairpin flew through the air so fast it was hard to see. 

Yang Lingyun with lightning reflexes, narrowly avoiding the deadly weapon. Had he not dodged, blood would likely have been seeping from a piercing wound.

Actually he might have died. 

The hairpin clattered to the floor.
