Chp 9

"So they agreed to a meeting?" I ask.
"Yes, Your majesty. I also bring some disturbing news. Humans are actively hunting and kidnapping the elves, when we first arrived they hid from us in fear that we were there to kidnap them." Gabriel says.
"They must be selling the elves as slaves, disgusting." I say.
"Slaves?" Raziel questions.
"Humans among other race's kidnapp weaker races and turn them into slaves against their will, it's a very bad thing." I say not wanting to tell him all the details of what happens.
"That's not very nice." Raziel says while thinking about something.
"How many elves were they're?" I ask.
"Maybe a 500 in total, with maybe 200 being warriors, the rest being women and children." Gabriel says.
"So tomorrow we meet them?" I ask confirming what he said earlier.
"Yes." He responds.
"Gather 1,000 Templar knights and 2 wyvern riders, let them know we will be leaving once the sun rises." I say.
"It will be done." He says turning around and walking out of the hall.
"Father, what happens if they come for us?" Raziel asks referring to the slavers.
"We will kill them." I answer honestly, I know he's young but in a world such as this, death will be common it's better to prepare him early.
He nods his head but does not answer.

Later in the armory.
'I know I put them somewhere.' I say looking for something.
"Ahh here we go." I say pulling a chest out from under something.
I open it and see a horn.
"Horn of the elven general." I thought of this when Gabriel told me about them barley having any warriors.
I put it into my inventory ring them walk to my room.
Tomorrow will officially start my story.

Approaching a forest.
We left early in the morning, ever since we left the men have been singing, I am currently at the front with Gabriel and Raziel at my sides.
"Raziel, while we are here do not wonder off. Do you understand me?" I ask.
"Yes father." He answers.
Raziel POV.
After father tells me not to wonder off we start walking toward the forest.
Right before we entered I hear a magnificent roar, I look up quickly and see to wyverns do a low pass right over us.
"Awesome!" I blurt out.
I notice my dad smiling my way.
"Be careful where you walk son." He says
"You be careful to." I retort.
"Why?" I question
"Because Im walking in your footsteps." I respond, I see him look at me for a second before looking away.

In the forest.
As we're walking a giant bug lands on my shoulder and I go stiff, I can see the giant pinchers on its face.
"D-Dad Dad." I whisper faintly so I do not spook the bug.
"Calm down breathe." Father says and I take a deep breath then all of a sudden the bug starts to light up and it flys off of me. The bug looks beautiful like it is now I can't take my eyes off of it.
"Sometimes you have to get through your fear to see the beauty on the other side." Father says, he pulls out his sword and waves it just above the tall grass, as he does this a dozen of those bugs light up and and start to fly around.
"Wow!" Was all I could say.

Elven King POV.
"Ok this should be good." I say looking at the middle of the clearing, we prepared a great feast among other things and decided to have the meeting outside in the open.
"Ok they should arrive any moment." I say out loud but i suddenly remember I haven't seen my daughter.
"Where is Ava? Does anyone kn-" as I was asking where Ava is I hear a terrifying roar from the sky.
When I look up I see a massive wyvern flying toward us, as if that wasn't enough another one was flying next to it. Nobody moved there was no point.
To my and everyone else's surprise they landed at the edge of the clearing, I was about to say something when I noticed 2 men and a child riding on separate horses coming out of the forest between the two behemoths.
One of them was the man I talked with yesterday, then there was the child who had a curious look on his face.
Once my eyes landed on the man in the middle I instantly knew he was their king, just the way he carried his self was enough of a reason to think he was the strongest.
Behind them I could see massive warriors, that looked like they were bred for war, as if they're looks weren't enough they were singing and they way the trees made them echo was scary.
They finally get off their horses, and only the three in the front made they're way to us.
Now that the King is off of his horse I can see just how big he actually is and even I do not reach his shoulders and I am one of the tallest in the elven kingdom.
He makes it infront of me and is the first to talk.
Raziel POV.
"It is a pleasure to meet you." My father says holding out his hand.
The elven king hesitates but soon grabs my fathers hand, I noticed how it looked like my father was controlling the handshake but I was soon distracted.
To my right I saw something move in the tree line.
I look closer and see a girl running into the forest, it looks like she is trying to be stealthy but is failing miserably.
Intrigued by why she is running I look back at my father and Gabriel and see they are in a deep talk with the Elven King, I slowly start to back away, I notice that the Templar knights are busy making a temporary camp, and the wyvern riders are busy looking among themselves.
Once I am far enough away I take off running into the tree line.
I start following her from behind, me being a lot better at hiding.
She soon makes it to beautiful tree, she looks around then sits down and starts to hum a beautiful song.
I listened for awhile but soon I walked out from behind the tree and said.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
She jumps, and looks at me.
Ava Erjeon POV.
I turn around urgently scared by the sudden voice.
I see a kid no older than 6 looking at me curiously, he starts to have a hurt look on his face.
"I didn't mean to scare you. I'm sorry." He says putting his head down then Turning around and starting to walk away.
"Wait, you didn't scare me, I-I was just startled." I say not wanting him to feel bad.
"What's your name?" I ask.
"Raziel." he says, walking closer to me.
"What's yours?" He asks.
"Ava." I respond.
"You have a pretty voice." He says.
I smile.
"Thank you. Why are you out here all alone?" I ask.
"Well I saw you run into the forest, and my father Is talking to the elf King. I figured this would be more fun." He says sitting down infront of me.
"Your father is the King?" I ask.
"Mhmmm" he responds.
'If this is how his child acts he shouldn't be a bad person.'
"May I hear you sing some more?" He asks.
And that's what I did I sang to him, for about 10 minutes but that's where everything turned for the worst.
"That was bea-" before he could finish a sound interrupted him.
*Snap*
I look up urgently and see nothing.
"Hey, I see you hiding." I hear Raziel say.
I hear a evil laugh and then see a group of 20 human men walk out from behind the trees.
"Look what we got here boys, a elven princess, and a Demihuman, they will go for a lot." He says.
"Slavers." I say quietly.
I grab Raziel and pull him towards me.
"Slavers." Raziel repeats what I said.
"My father says we kill people like you." Raziel says provoking them.
"Shhh." I whisper.
"Shut up demiHuman, what did your father do to get you did he fuck a goat?" The man says.
I tried to keep Raziel from talking but he talked anyway, it was almost as if he he was trying to prove something.
"My Father is the King, just imagine what he will do when I tell him what you said." Raziel says. I sigh knowing they are going to use this against us.
"Oh, King? We will get an even bigger reward." The man says laughing.
"Kid do you know what we do to kids of a false King?" The man asks.
I notice one of them knock a arrow and release it straight at Raziels shoulder, I quickly position myself above him and immediately feel a burning pain on my shoulder.
*ah*
I take a deep breath, trying my best to not cry, not wanting to scare Raziel or give them any satisfaction.
I pull away slightly to see if Raziel is okay, i notice he has some blood on his face but that is from me.
He looks from my face to my shoulder. I see tears start to form and I feel his heart rate quicken.
"Grab them."
"FATHER! FATHER!" Raziel starts screaming bloody murder, even if someone hears him they will get here to late or so I thought.
….
Azrael POV.
"So they have recently came and kidnapped your kind?" I ask.
"Yes just the-" before he could finish I hear a blood curdling scream.
"FATHER!" I shoot up out of the chair and look around for Raziel hoping I was hearing things.
I hear it again, this time Gabriel does aswell, not waiting any longer I take off full speed into the forest, I can sense Gabriel is behind me trying to keep up, what is this feeling 'fear'?
In the distance I see a group of men trying to grab my son and a girl who are both fighting back.
'RAGE' was the only emotion that hit me at that point.

*HU hu hu* I exclaim breathing heavily.
'What happened?' I ask myself.
I look down at myself and notice all the blood that is on me.
I look around me and see the forest floor is red instead of green.
I turn around and see my son in the girls arms crying with his eyes shut, I look at her and she has a arrow in her shoulder. My eyes travel further up and see the emotion in her eyes.
"Fear."
Gabriel, comes shooting out of the forest with blade in hand.
"Take her back to the Templar knights have them heal her." I say.
"Yes, Your majesty." He says.
Not waiting another moment he walks to her and lifts Raziel off of her and places him on the ground.
"This may hurt." He says lifting her up and running back to the Templar Knights.
I look down and Raziel looking at me.
I turn around and look at what I did.
"Raziel, I am very disappointed in you." I say.
"I know." He says quietly.
"You could've been killed, You deliberately Disobeyed me, and what's worse you put yourself in danger!"
He starts taking deep breaths and looks like he is struggling to talk.
"I was just trying to be brave like you." He says sounding like he is about to cry.
"I'm only brave when I have to be. Raziel… Being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble."
"But you are not scared of anything." He says.
I look back toward him.
"I was today." I say.
"You were?" He asks.
"Yes."
"I thought I might lose you." I say.
"I guess even Kings get scared."
I nod my head.
