Bab 480: No Time For Rest

Midas stumbled out of the portal, collapsing into a heap at the centre of the New Hope City's portal station. His physical state was unsightly at that moment as if he had been tortured using horrendous methods for hours on end.

His clothes were tattered… It was more like he had no clothes on at that moment. His body was battered and bruised beyond recognition and it lay motionlessly on the cold, hard floor, bleeding out from all the cuts on it.

James, who had been standing guard at the location, pacing around and ensuring that there were no intrusions or errors, saw everything that had just happened and could not believe his eyes.

That was the Clan Leader, was it not? What happened to him? There was suddenly a bright flash of light, and then it came together in the Clan Leader coming out of the portal that blasted apart behind him looking all bruised.
