Each battalion was falling into place, forming lines and positions in a practised manner. Midas's heart paced with anticipation seeing their confidence despite the massive thing approaching from the distance.

Julio was at the front, briefing lieutenants and captains of teams on some tactics that had been set up for situations exactly like this. Jasmine was doing the same, and when she noticed Midas' eyes upon her, she smiled and waved at him like the loving girl she was, eliciting a smile on Midas' face.
