Backtracking to the moment before Midas disappeared into the cloud, Midas had readied himself for the eventuality. He knew he was going to get swallowed today. Now the only thing was controlling how he got swallowed, such that his body was not crushed by those teeth.

While the creature was speeding itself up to Midas' position, Midas was using his perception to the maximum in an attempt to understand what was happening around him.

He had already noticed the whale's eyes as they tracked his movements, calculating, anticipating, planning… Midas knew that the Orca knew he could get away with his ability to manoeuvre in the air. So in its head, as long as it got close to Midas, who liked running away like a fly, it would immediately eat him up.
