Bab 449: Tatenda's Conflicts

Midas carefully supported Tatenda as she wobbled, clearly drunk and distressed. She leaned heavily against him, her face flushed and her eyes unfocused. Like that, they began the slow walk to her quarters with Midas' strong arm providing her with the stability she desperately needed.

Except in the back of her mind, she was paying attention to Midas' hand placement, which was edging ever closer to dangerous territory. Whether she was guiding it or not was a totally different story though. What was important was that things were heading into territory she should not be comfortable with.

And yet somehow, because it was Midas, she felt like she could be okay with it. That, in and of itself, was a terrifying prospect.
