Bab 257: The Missing Link

The blackness around Midas seemed to coalesce as he found himself in the familiar quagmire that was the Black Gate.

After feeling this, Midas felt elated in his heart because it meant that he was not dead! He could continue!

His last life was a story of transformation in a body that he could have never imagined himself in and yet he had made it out intact. After 70 years of life as a Meat Producing Tree, he died peacefully and departed their realm.

That was a life he enjoyed more than anything and Midas would never take back a single second of it. Actually, he could say the same thing about his life as a boy in a Tribe in Southern Africa who had turned into a King who ruled over an Empire stretching for thousands of kilometres.

Both were lives that he had no regrets over and would not change even a single moment.
