Bab 183: Bedrock Island

The pathway ahead unfolded like an enigma as Midas and the other Chosen trod ahead, jogging over the lava with practised caution.

They had already gotten used to the attacks by now and some could even predict the movements of the tongues. Things had stabilised in this group and Midas could see it, so he took some time to pay more attention to his Communications Channel, where he was being told by Tatenda that the situation at the front had changed.

Tatenda had reached land and what seemed to be a sandy black terrain seemed to be something completely different. It was a black bedrock that was rough, dirty and sandy and even there the heat had not let up.

Midas, seeing these messages, felt a strange mix of anticipation and unease. Although the heat was still the same, they could be free of any fire tongues that crept up from beneath them. 

No matter what, this was a major win!
