Bab 170: About Time!

Midas came out of the Council Building rubbing his belly after the filling meal he had only to be met walking around, smiling and laughing freely as they used to back in the second Trial.

Midas blinked a few times before it hit him. Oh right. People were modifying their Vital Manifestation Constructs, and the result was they were now able to walk around without feeling like the world was crushing them.

Looking around at the people who greeted him with glints of reverence in their eyes as he passed by, Midas noticed a certain peace at the scene. 

They were genuinely happy at that moment.

Great. A Leader who can't keep his people happy always turns into a dictator in time. This is a lesson that some leaders throughout human history had to learn the hard way.

Midas thought of a few dictators and couldn't help but find some parallels with his situation.
