Bab 93: Taunting and Temptations

As the Chosen attempted to rebuild the fort and their shattered spirits, a sinister symphony echoed through the air… 

"Kakahahaha~~"

This was a symphony that the Chosen had heard before, and after hearing it again, everyone frowned visibly.

They had fought so hard to dispel the shadows encroaching on the Fort, but now it seemed they were being haunted. A chorus of unearthly howls came from the darkness in the distance, eliciting feelings of unwillingness and frustration.

Every other Clan Member turned their heads, casting weary glances at each other. They knew what this meant.

The Demon Dogs were back.

Midas smiled because to him this was confirmation of one of his hypotheses: The ants only came out in the early hours of the darkness and then never came out ever again.
