Bab 86: Jaden Finds Out

Wide-eyed, Zuri watched as Jaden moved closer to her, narrowing the distance between them. His woodsy, masculine scent, which bent her nostrils and made her mentally swoon a little, was now so close to her that she could smell him. She kept staring into his intense, penetrating gaze. His forehead and face were covered in stray hairs, which made her hands itch to tuck some of them behind his ears.

What had he just said, in her ears? Did he feel anything for her? At the same time as her stomach turned, it also constricted. She had been waiting for this moment her entire life -- at least since she began to fancy the prince. But why did it arrive now? Zuri questioned. Why didn't he tell her since? Why didn't he tell her how he felt about her before she saw a female sitting on his lap? Jaden wouldn't have it that easy because Zuri wouldn't allow herself to be played with.
