Bab 40: Jeffery - Khalan's Son

Khalan sat in his house, looking out the window as he thought about what the mayor had said. He had drawn up the list of the people who would go to Transmere for the peace talk and held the paper in his hands. The muscles in his jaw rippled as what was about to happen was not according to the plan that Khalan had – especially about his son. He hadn't even told Jeffery that was to go to Transmere.

At that moment, Jeffery, a tall and handsome young man walked into the sitting room with a cup of coffee in his hand. He had wanted to sit and read a magazine in the living room when he saw his father deep in thought. 

"Dad?" Jeffery called. "What are you thinking about? You shouldn't think that deep, remember the issue of your bp."

"How can I not think deeply, Jeff?" Khalan asked as he rubbed his face with his hand. He had thought about how he'd explain to his son knowing fully well that Jeffery wouldn't want to follow the plan that he'd formed in his mind.
