Bab 31: Hiratsuka city
The morning was unusually chilly. The winter clouds were still into the sky, slowly disappearing because of the light snow fall every now and then. Everything was like a frozen picture in time. But soon night gave in for the day. The morning woodpecker started working even before the sun was on top of the horizon. A murder of crows started singing in their ugly tones. While a Ural owl watching them sing. Below the owl a hungry black wolf was walking slowly trough the snow. But soon his ears perked up. A human was heard nearby, he immediately ran towards the other side loosing itself in the woods.
"So how old are you Kimimaro." One of the Yamanakas asked.
"I am five and a half."Kimimaro replied
"How about you, Hanako?" Kimimaro asked.
"I will be seven in few days!" Hanako answered. While looking at the Nara kid.
"What presents will you give me Yamato?"
"What a drag." Yamato sighed while looking towards the sky.
"Why he is always looks so bored."
"Because ,Naras are to lazy and intelligent for their own good, breaking them and making them unable to have social conversations."Kimimaro replied while smiling slyly and looking straight at the Nara boy.
Yamato turned around and side eyed Kimimaro,
He smirked a little and answered.
"Damn straight." Yamato replied while looking back at the sky.
"Hey don't insult him, The Amikichi boy said. "Don't worry, Choji, he didn't insult me." Yamato said.
"Choji growled while eating a chicken breast."
"Hey guys stop fucking around, what do you think happened to the village." Mangetsu said.
"Probably some ninja clan wants more slaves and kidnapped them, that is the only possibility." Yamato said boringly.
"Or the land there is not fertile as it used to be so they just left."Choji said while munching.
"Or the gets to much taxes from them." Kimimaro added.
"In the end of the day we need to investigate their disappearance. And when we find them our mission is over."Yamato said.
"Alright stop bickering let's get back to running." The Yamanaka woman said. While started leading them forward.
The adults walked in front in of the kids in square formation, with Kenji in front, the Nara and Amikichi from the sides, while the Yamanaka were in the back.
The kids ran in pentagon formation with Mangetsu and Kimimimaro in the back, while the Amikichi in front and Yamato, and Hanako from the sides.
"Do you see anything ,Kimimaro?" Mangetsu said as he ran next to him.
"Not at the moment."
"Alright, scan the surroundings, from time to time, we have two sensors, but they can't compare to your byakugan in close scanning.
Kimimaro nodded and they continued running.
By keeping tempo and slowing from time to time for a proper scan of the surroundings, and to rejuvenate their chakra pool, the team reached the Hiratsuka city by the afternoon. They showed the pendant to the city guards, and quickly entered the city.
"Alright,first we find an inn to stay then we will go to talk to the lord of the city."Kenji said as everyone else agreed with his arrangements. They soon found an inn nearby the south gate,where they left their belongings. After a while they gathered themselves outside the inn and walked towards the city centre.
"We talk, you listen." The Nara woman said as they closed to the inner gates of the city.
Soon they reached the inner gates guards.
"Halt state your business."
"The Nara woman showed the pendant.
"We want to meet the lord as he is our client."
The guard contemplated for a second before looking towards he the skinnier guard next to him.
He raised his hand and waved at him.
The skinnier guard nodded before rushing inside the gates.
Soon after, the guard returned.
"The lord expects you, follow me." The skinnier guard said as he marched forward. Soon they reached the core gate, they quickly passed trough ,following the guard. And reached the castle. They passed trough the final gate.
"You wait here." The guard said as he continued forward.
After five minutes he returned and waved at the ninjas.
Kimimaro entered a large hall filled with food. Group of guards stood beside the food table protecting city officials.
