The Prince of Holmes wore a wistful expression, as if reminiscing about past glory.
"You know, throughout the history of the Great Summer Dynasty, only the Immortal Slaying Sect once briefly surpassed our empire," said the Prince of Holmes with a sigh.
"That was such a terrifying sect, much more powerful than the current nine aristocratic families."
Ethan Smith paused, then frowned, "The Immortal Slaying Sect did produce an Immortal Emperor."
"That's right," the Prince nodded, "After the birth of the Immortal Emperor, the Great Summer Dynasty began to decline. Of course, this is only the recent history of the dynasty; I don't know about its more glorious past."
Ethan felt puzzled.
If the Great Summer Dynasty was once so glorious, how could they not have born an Immortal Emperor? If there wasn't a single Immortal Emperor to rule, how could they have governed the entire Holy Region?
Could it be that the realm of the Immortal Emperor was only discovered in recent years?
