A tremendous force suddenly lifted Clarissa Johnson into the air.

Her face flushed red as she struggled, her eyes filled with pain and terror.

"How dare you show up in front of me?" Ethan Smith squinted his eyes and said coldly.

Clarissa spoke with difficulty, "I... I don't understand... what you're saying..."

"You don't understand? How can a Halcroen Sect member not understand?" Ethan said coldly.

Clarissa, still struggling, slapped Ethan's arm and said painfully, "I... really don't understand..."

Ethan saw that she didn't seem to be lying, so he let go of her hand.

Having the chance to breathe, Clarissa took desperately inhaled fresh air.

She looked at Ethan and said, "What are you talking about?"

"Are you really not aware of Halcroen Sect's scheme against me?" Ethan frowned.

"Scheme? Didn't they help you get the person out?" Clarissa asked in confusion.

Ethan glanced at Kenneth Minnx and asked, "Do you know her?"

"I don't know her," Kenneth replied emotionlessly.
