Bab 24: Tien’s old master
"I see. Chaiotzu lost. It's a shame. But still, all of you did very well." Master Roshi said to Goku, Yamcha and Krillin.
"Goku where is your brother? Aren't you going to introduce him to us?" Oolong said as he noticed that Dai was not with them.
Oolong seems to misunderstand that Dai is on their side when it is not the case. The only person who knew Dai among Goku's friends was Tien and even then they were not close.
"I don't know. He said he didn't want to spend time with me and my face pisses him off." Goku said.
"Of course. What did you expect? If someone who is not related to you has the same face as you, well you might get put off by it." Bulma said to Goku.
"Hey. About Chaiotzu's opponent? Do you know him? The guy that called Tao PaiPai." Yamcha asked the others.
"Tao PaiPai?" Master Roshi said in shock.
"But didn't Goku kill him?" Master Roshi asked the three martial artists.
"He is somehow alive and now he is half-robot," Krillin said to Master Roshi.
"He said he wanted to kill Goku and Tien for revenge. And Tien is his first opponent." Yamcha said to Master Roshi.
"This is not good. Tao PaiPai is Tien's worst opponent. He knows all of Tien's skills and techniques." Master Roshi said to the others.
"It doesn't matter," Goku said.
"Pardon," Yamcha said in shock. Krillin, Master Roshi, bulma, Launch and Oolong who were listening to the whole conversation were also puzzled by Goku's statement.
"Tien is stronger than him," Goku replied.

At that time in the waiting room for the official tournament.
"Are you the reincarnation or the descendant of the demon king Piccolo?" Dai asked as he looked at Piccolo.
"Think what you want, the fact that you are going to die is not going to change," Piccolo said to Dai.
"Die. Me? How amusing?" Dai said.
"You know I used to yearn for power when I was young but now I have become strong enough to the point that I believe I can kill everything on this planet if I want to. including you." Dai said to Piccolo.
"But I am not going to. For you see, your existence amuses me." Dai said.
"An opponent that can grow stronger than me is something that I am too interested to simply kill off," Dai said to Piccolo.
"So don't lose in the tournament and wait for me. I want to fight and beat you by myself this time." Dai said.
Piccolo smiled at Dai's words. Piccolo knew that Dai was not bluffing and had the power to back up his words, which is primarily the reason why Dai grew so arrogant in these years.

A few minutes later,
"Ladies and gentlemen. The 23rd world fighting championship will finally begin." the announcer said as he stood on the stage surrounded by hundreds of thousands of audiences.
"The first match between the new challenge Tao PaiPai and Tien Shinhan, the winner of the last tournament will finally start." the announcer said as the two participants walked onto the stage.
"What is that thing It looked creepy." one of the audience said.
Tao PaiPai's appearance is not something that you want to look at and the fact that he is not a participant that they have seen before makes people ridicule him even more.
No one was mocking him but they were just questioning his appearance among themselves Tao PaiPai didn't like it.
"Ignorant people. After killing both you and Goku and getting the tournament prize money, I will kill everyone at the tournament." Tao PaiPai said.
"First match ready go!!" With the announcement, the tournament has now officially begun.
"Ready." Tao PaiPai said to Tien.
"Of course," Tien replied.
Tao PaiPai ran into attack but Tien disappeared into the air.
Then Tien who was now split in four reappeared and all started to attack Tao PaiPai at the same time.
"What?" Tao PaiPai was shocked as this was not a technique that Tien learned from his school.
Not only him Dai who was watching the fight was also shocked.
Since his birth, Dai has been able to copy every single martial art move and technique that he saw immediately. It was kind of an unfair ability.
But Tien's new cloning skill was something he knew he could not replicate without any effort.
"Tch. This is kind of frustrating." Dai said as he continued to watch the fight.
Tien's one-sided attack on Tao Paipai continued as Tao Paipai was unable to counter all four of Tien's bodies at the same time.
"I will kill you." Tao PaiPai yelled out as he was being beaten by Tien.
"Take this super dodompa." Tao PaiPai yelled out as he launched a powerful yellow energy blast from his hand.
"Kikoha," Tien yelled out as he launched his energy wave which completely overpowered the super dodompa and pushed Tao PaiPai flying out of the ring.
"Tao PaiPai is knocked out of bounds. Winner Tien Shinhan." the announcer said as the one-sided beatdown finally ended with Tien's victory.
