Bab 2: No way....

Stop.

Hold on.

Quit crying, dummy.

The loud thud of the front door shutting echoed throughout the house. The beautiful woman sitting on the couch reading her magazine jumped at the sound.

"What was that?" she asked her only nephew as he entered and threw his backpack against the wall, before slamming the door shut. "Peter, I'm talking to you," she said, receiving no response. Peter walked towards his room. "Parker!" she shouted, hoping for an answer. He stopped walking and turned to face her. As he did, she saw that he was completely covered in cake and eggs, with tears streaming down his face. "What happened?" she asked as she walked over, trying to touch his face.

"Nothing, Aunt May, nothing," he replied sarcastically. "Just got reminded of how much of an idiot I am," he added before closing the door to his room.

Aunt May was left speechless. She was going to ask him to stop crying and talk to her. She knew what was happening to her nephew at school and no matter how much she spoke to the school authorities, things remained the same. It hurt to see Peter like this, despising himself, something he shouldn't be doing. She, like him, was tired, overwhelmed with seeing him like this. She even thought...what if his parents were...alive...things would be different, Peter would be different. The thought made her chest hurt. She couldn't continue like this. They were gone. She was here. She had to be there for him, always. She let out a sigh as she heard Peter's crying from outside and heard him say things she knew weren't true. She closed her eyes and turned back towards the living room, mentally asking if there was anyone out there in the universe who could show her nephew how special he is, hoping they would come soon.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Night had fallen. Aunt May was sitting at the living room table with Tony, Scott, Thor, and Natasha. She had called them, telling them what had happened with Peter. She needed some advice from them.

"I saw that Thompson guy," Thor spoke up as Aunt May served dinner. "He's an idiot, nothing like Parker. You can tell from miles away that he's just jealous. Parker is a very intelligent and determined kid."

"I agree with you, curtains," Stark spoke up. Thor rolled his eyes at the nickname, taking a bite of his food. "Parker, even though he can be a pain sometimes, I have to admit he's a brilliant mind."

"We need to make him see that," Natasha added, complimenting the dinner that May had made. "Where is he?"

"In his room," Scott answered. "What?" he asked as they all looked at him. "I'm an ant, I just went in through the door crack and saw him. And, he doesn't look good at all."

May sat down and let out a sigh of sadness.

"I don't know what else to do. Peter always tells me he's worthless, that he's stupid, that he's a failure...

"He's not," Nat interrupted. "He shouldn't say things like that. That boy has done things that not even the idiot who's bothering him can do.

The others nodded in agreement with her. Peter was a boy with great abilities, with virtues that had helped a lot - although sometimes he got into trouble - but he was a valuable boy. The entire Avengers clan was clear about that and it bothered them that little Peter didn't see that in himself. Like May, they didn't know what to say or do anymore...

"Any ideas, advice...?" May asked after a few minutes. "What can I do?

"First, tell him to come down," Stark said, getting up and leaving his plate in the sink like the others. "Let's all talk to him. Crying won't solve anything.

"Second," Nat spoke up. "We need to make him see his worth, one last time.

"Third," Thor said, diverting from what was being said. He asked May what was in a deep brown bowl. May laughed briefly.

"It's chocolate cake," she replied and sliced him a piece. Thor ate it happily. "Continuing with what you were saying...

"Oh..." Thor said, swallowing the second slice he was eating. "I'm saying that neither the first nor the second will work." Seeing everyone looking at him with an arched eyebrow, he added, "I'm telling you the truth. It hasn't worked all this time, and it won't work now.

"Where's the positive Thor?" Scott asked as he ate the chocolate cake.

"He's still here," Thor replied. "Just a little more realistic. The thing is... I think someone I know can help him.

"Who? What? Where?" May asked quickly.

"She's a very good person, she's special," Thor smiled. "But," he stopped smiling, "I haven't seen her in a long time." May felt her hope drop again. "I've only seen her brother, Frey.

"Frey?" Stark asked. "No, no," he said, remembering who Thor was talking about. "That idiot," he spat. "I thought he'd finally disappeared.

"You just hate him because he's in some way very similar to you," Scott pointed out to him.

Stark snorted, of course that wasn't the case. Frey, prince of the Senssummir planet, brother of the person Thor was talking about, was even worse than Stark - even if he denies it. Frey is a man of good character, power, physique. He has come down to Earth several times to help the Avengers. His sun-bathed skin, war symbols on his body, and pale flame-colored eyes showed his power, his strength. Thor admired him, they were good friends.

"I'm not like anyone," Stark spoke up, and the others just nodded their heads cynically. "And least of all like that idiot. Besides... I didn't know he had a sister?"

"He has one," Nat replied. "I talked to her once, a long time ago.

"When was that?" Stark asked. "You're always with us.

"Like I said, it was a long time ago. I think it was when you and Steve wouldn't even look at each other," she replied. "I went to Wakanda... to talk to T'Challa. Actually... she was the one who advised him on how to talk to Steve and you to fix everything.

" 'And it wasn't a bad idea,"Scott said. "They're talking now, and no killing, not yet,' he added.

"Whatever," Stark said. "I just want to know how and what she'll do.

"She's a very good person," Nat told him. "So much so that she can make you feel good with just a few words. I suppose she achieves that because of the love she has for others and for herself.

"You suppose, no. It's true," Thor corrected her. "She would help Peter. But I don't know where she is. Frey told me recently that he's seen her very busy elsewhere. Since she and Wakanda helped us, we haven't heard from her. Well, I haven't. But I doubt she's close. I suppose, as Frey told me, besides looking after her people, she's listening... It can't be!"he exclaimed out of nowhere, startling the others. "Aunt May." The aforementioned woman nodded, still dazed. 'Have you ever asked something of someone?

"Yes... I actually did it recently," she replied. "Do you think that...?" A smile formed on her lips, feeling hope again.

Thor smiled too.

"Can you explain why you're smiling like the Cheshire Cat?" Scott asked, bewildered.

"It seems that Frey's sister has heard May or even Peter himself," Thor answered. "I'm sure she has. And if that's the case, she'll come very soon.

Nat and Stark smiled, that was more than good news. It meant that maybe, just maybe, Peter's thoughts about himself would change.

"Parker!" Stark shouted. "Get out of your flea box and come here!" he shouted again, but nobody came down. He sighed and went up the stairs. "Open up,"he knocked on the door repeatedly. "It would be better if you didn't make me angry," he sounded like a threat.

On the other side of the door, Peter heard him while sitting on the roof of the house, a little away from the window. He had his arms resting on his thighs, his hands clasped, and his gaze was downcast. Stark kept knocking on the door. Should I open it? He asked himself. Stark is a strong-willed man, and it's known that it's not pleasant to see him angry. Peter wiped his eyes with the sleeve of his coat, sniffed, and looked up at the dark but starry sky.

"Stop crying, stupid," he said to himself, his voice trembling. "Please," he pleaded with himself. "What have I done to deserve being treated badly? I wish they would treat me better... That they..."The sound of the door opening interrupted him.

Stark had opened the door. Peter got up from the roof and stood beside the window. Stark searched for him even under the bed. Peter saw him approaching the window and quickly jumped, landing below the window on the roof. Stark called him, but he wasn't going to answer. His voice was too weak to do so, and the last thing he wanted was for Tony to see him like this. So, without further ado, Peter walked on the roof and lifted himself up, now inside his suit.

Far from home..."
