"We all need time. Just as I am giving you a month to decide, give him a chance," he suggested, and her dissatisfaction was evident.

"This is different," she argued.

"How?" He inquired.

"He knows what he wants, he's determined. I..." she paused, realizing what she was about to reveal. No, Aurora, you shouldn't let him know that, he might get the wrong idea.

"You don't know what you want, you are doubtful," he finished her thought, and a hush fell over the room.

Their eyes locked, and neither made a move to break the gaze, unspoken words communicating between them. He understood her vulnerabilities so well, she was completely exposed to him.
