Bab 67: Dave regrets hurting Charlotte

Interrupted by a phone call, Charlotte gently pulled herself away from Dave's embrace and took out her phone to check the caller.

It was her boyfriend, Ronald. Dave scolded himself for almost crossing the line when he saw who was calling.

'She's taken, Dave, think!' He reprimanded himself.

"Um, I need to take this call. Goodnight," Charlotte said, returning his coat and quickly leaving the tree. Her heart was beating fast out of embarrassment. She felt like she had almost cheated on Ronald, and she didn't want to pick up his call to avoid spilling the beans.

Dave watched her as she ran away and sighed, feeling like a loser for chasing after a taken woman. He cursed himself for calling her beautiful at that moment. 'So stupid,' he thought, and he also left the tree.

The following morning, two naked bodies lay asleep on the bed, entangled in each other's embrace. The morning sun shone brightly into the room.
