But when Garp saw Carnes standing in front of him, completely unharmed with only a bit of dust on his body, he couldn't help but feel a gloomy expression on his face.

However, just as Carnes finished speaking, a sudden blast echoed, exploding right beside his ears!

Carnes glanced sideways and saw a massive cloud of movement rushing towards him!
Despite this unexpected attack, Carnes remained calm and didn't attempt to dodge it.
Instead, he stood still as in the next second, Whitebeard's mighty Murakumogiri sliced through Carnes' body, crashing heavily into the ground.
The thick ice layer shattered, leaving behind a terrifying gully!
"Boom!!"
"Boom!!!"
Witnessing this astonishing scene, both Garp and Whitebeard's eyes narrowed with disbelief.
"What's going on? Did it just pass through him? Was it just an illusion???" Garp questioned, immediately refuting his own idea moments later.
"No... it's definitely not an illusion. Carnes, that guy... How on earth did he do that?"
"Could it be a Devil Fruit ability?" Garp whispered, a thought striking him, causing his eyes to narrow once again.
Powerful Martial art combined with Haki, and now this strange ability that allows him to phase through attacks. It was an incredible combination.
Carnes had become even more formidable now.
Undoubtedly, Devil Fruit not only restored Carnes' youth but also brought his strength to a higher and stronger level.
"Impressive...," Carnes taunted, turning his head slowly to glare coldly at Whitebeard.
"You're still the same as you were back then, not a thing has changed, Newgate!"
"Boom!"
Whitebeard slammed Murakumogiri onto the ground, his eyes filled with disdain.
"I already told you, if you cause any trouble here for my sons, I'll kill you right away!"
"Not just you, but anyone who dares to get in my way of rescuing Ace, I'll mercilessly kill them."
Carnes laughed again, glancing at both Whitebeard and Garp before speaking provocatively.
"Back then, you, the Roger Pirates, and those guys joined forces to take me and Rocks down.
Now, do you want to recreate that same situation and team up with Whitebeard to kill me, Garp?"
Garp slowly pulled off his tie and loosened his coat, his expression remaining stoic.
"I'm just fulfilling my duties, Marine duties."
"Oh, such high-sounding reasons..." Carnes remarked.
"Shua!!"
The air exploded with electric light and fire as Whitebeard's void-cutting attack once again hit Carnes' shoulder.
However, the result was no different from before. Murakumogiri passed directly through Carnes' shoulder.
"Boom!!"
The ground trembled as Murakumogiri crashed down, its sheer impact disintegrated the surrounding terrain in an instant.
A massive cloud of smoke and dust billowed out like a deluge, engulfing everything in the nearby area.
Meanwhile, crimson sparks converged at Carnes' fingertips.
Before Whitebeard could even complete his attack, a sphere of potent energy had already materialized before him.
"Bala!!"
"Boom!!!"
The crimson radiance blazed intensely, illuminating the entire area.
From condensation to release, the process seemed prolonged, yet in reality, it transpired in the blink of an eye.
This sudden attack sent a shiver down Whitebeard's spine, making his heart tremble, instinctively setting off alarm bells in his mind!
At such close proximity, there was no time to retract his blade to defend against the attack.
In the next moment, Whitebeard shifted his figure and swiftly leaned to one side, decisively abandoning the idea of retracting his blade.

The false bullet (bala) exploded in the ice behind him, narrowly missing Whitebeard.
Yet, even as he successfully dodged the attack and prepared to retaliate, Carnes was unrelenting as he immediately launched a series of follow-up attacks, leading with a strike aimed at Whitebeard's exposed backhand.
He was aiming directly at the opening in Whitebeard's defense.
With a crisp clang, Murakumogiri was sent flying.
Whitebeard's expression revealed his astonishment, he looked visibly stunned.
Yet, Carnes didn't halt there; instead, he delivered a backhand slash towards Whitebeard!
"Shua!!!"
Even in the face of such a perilous situation, Whitebeard refused to lose his composure, he didn't falter.
Drawing from his vast combat experience, he infused his powerful Gura Gura no Mi abilities into his fist, delivering a ferocious punch.
"Boom!!!!"
A tremendous roar resounded, and a visible shockwave surged forth.
However...
Moments later, the next sight was Whitebeard body being sent flying backward through the air!
Boom...
He rolled tens of meters before managing to steady himself.
Yet, before Whitebeard could regain his footing, Carnes had closed the distance, standing right in front of him.
"Clang Clang !!!"
"Clang Clang !!!"
With a swift motion of the sword, Eclipse, the weapon in Carnes' hand, cut through the air, as it left a horrific wound stretching from the shoulder to lower abdomen of Whitebeard, it was all courtesy of Eclipse!
"Shhh!!!"
Blood spurted from Whitebeard's wound.
His throat felt a surge of warm bitter sweetness, and he coughed up a substantial amount of blood.
"Pops!!!!"
In the midst of the crowded and chaotic battlefield, a resounding voice echoed from one of the Whitebeard Pirates members, drawing the attention of both his crewmates.
The shout not only drew the attention of his fellow crew members but also captured the gaze of most Marines.
"Pops!!!"
Even in his injured state, Whitebeard fought through the pain, mustered all his strength and yelled.
"Stay back, don't come here."
"It's okay, Whitebeard. None of them will escape from here today,"
Carnes' confident voice reached Whitebeard's ears just before Eclipse launched another attack at him.
