Bab 129: Four Bodies, No Crow

Whilst Ava was explaining the situation to Cyril, Marcus took this chance to observer the scenery around him.

He wasn't entirely familiar with the inside of the kingdom since he'd only gotten a brief amount of time to conduct surveillance before. Though luckily, this had been one of the few places his crow had actually seen when he was last here.

Observing the area now through his own eyes, he wondered why a portal would be positioned here in the first place.

The location was deserted and every building around him was either falling apart or already had. It made him wonder why someone would want to place a portal here at all and why guards would even be stationed here.

'Curious.'

Marcus also started to wonder if he would have been better off following after Alicia and Alex if this was all the kingdom of Uceris had to offer. His own lodgings with them proved to be far superior than where he was now.
