[After finishing your training with Hanma Baki, Fight Jin Mori for 60 consecutive days without giving up.]
Yamato grinned at the pop up screen and laughed madly. "FINE! Fuck you then! I'll show you! I'll show all of you... I'll get strong enough to put a dent in your fucking face when I meet you, A.R."
Then a gathering of blue light particles shone in front of him. A man materialized in front of him. An 18-year old man with short hair that is long in the back. He is very muscular, flexible, and durable. His physique results from constant, rigorous combat training and is far beyond that of a typical adolescent. His bones and muscles are also described as being better than those of an Olympic sportsman. His entire being is covered in innumerable scars. He only wore sports shorts, and his hands were caustiously wrapped in bandages. He wore a carefree expression, his eyes looked a little weary but, there are still traces of his childlike demeanor.
[Although he is a copy, he would still act and talk like the original.]
A.R.'s notification rang in his head. Yamato struggled to nod his head, the pull of gravity was barely something he could handle. "How much is the gravity here compared to our normal?"
[Eight, that's all you could handle.]
Baki stared straight at Yamato, "You're supposed to be my opponent? That's not gonna be fun. I don't like fighting people weaker than me." Yamato sighed, "What can I do Hanma-san? I'm forced into this situation." Baki nodded his head at his words. "Well, no worries man. Just Baki is fine. How about this. For the next 39 days, I'll train you. For the last 17 days I'll fight with you non stop." He said as he grinned.
Yamato dreaded it but nevertheless he nodded his head, "Thank you for your guidance." Then Yamato raised his eyebrows, "Wait 39 days? What about today?" He asked, making Baki grin from ear to ear. "A thing I like to call. Instict honing?" Yamato sighed, "I'm going to get beat up again huh?" He said not knowing the pain he would go through.
Baki shook his head, "I'm going to kill you. Over, and over, and Over again. Until you grasp Near Death Focus." Yamato waved his hands around, "Wait! wawawait! Isn't the order in rever--" Before he could continue Baki dashed towards him. He could see the trajectory of his attack but the gravity chamber prevented him from moving.
The moment the Kick connected he was thrown away. He could feel his right hand's bones shatter from the impact. He grit his teeth as he forced him self up but Baki was faster. He pierced Yamato's stomach with his bare hands.
[YOU DIED]
"GAHHH!!!" Yamato opened his eyes and shot up. Breathing roughly. Before he could gather his bearings Baki was already infront of him. He kicked him in the head with enough force to kill him.
[YOU DIED]
After a few more deaths he has managed to avoid dying immediately. He also is slowly getting used to the strong gravity as he could move like normal. A little slow but still able to dodge, albiet barely.
After 5 hours he has managed to survive upwards to 5 minutes. Baki increased his onslaught not giving an inch of break towards the weary Yamato.
On the Tenth Hour he opened his eyes after his death. He could feel his nose bleed, "W-what?"
[The Human brain can only handle so many deaths. Such concepts are supposed to be beyond human understanding.]
Yamato was breathing roughly. Baki stared at him. "You gonna be okay man?" Yamato nodded his head, "I'll be fine Baki. Give me your worst." He grinned at Yamato, "Now we're talking." The two fought once again.
23 hours passed by quickly...
By the end of the 20th hour Yamato stopped dying entirely. He was straing at baki's strikes with immense focus. His eyes empty, the only thought inside his head was to survive and stike back. They exchanged blows, with Baki barely feeling his strikes. Yamato on the other hand has dodged most of his strikes. This made him grin from ear to ear, "You're quite the slippery bastard. But, that's probably one of your strengths." He said as they continued to spar.
Although Yamato was hit by his strikes multiple times, he didn't pay it any heed. He could barely feel anything at all. His full concentration wall poured on the opponent in front of him. Then all of a sudden a sound of a bell echoed.
[Time's up!]
Yamato's eyes slowly returned to normal as he plopped down on the ground. Baki dusted off his hands and smiled, "Man who would've thought you'd master Near Death Focus in such a short amount of time. That's pretty impressive, Yamato. You've also been subconsciously using your endorphins to numb the pain from training." Yamato smiled, "Heh, I'm pretty amazing aren't I? If... I... Put my mind into it." He said between bated breaths.
Baki then shouted at the roof, "Hey! A.R. or whatever your name is. Can you add a several training equipment here?"
[Yes, a moment please.]
"Two hours." Baki said as he sat on the ground and closed his eyes. Yamato nodded his head as he did the same as him. As soon as the two hours passed Baki and Yamato both stood up. "So what are we gonna do?" Baki stretched his body. "Copy everything I do." He said as he continued stretching.
After a few minuites of stretching he moved towards the wieghts, "Since you can double you amount of training. And we can train for a whole 39 days without sleep... We shall be developing your body.
The first ten days was spent with a normal amount of basic gym training. The next 20 were triple that amount with basics of martial arts peppered in between, he even increased weights. The last nine days were spent with extreme training and martial arts, pushing Yamato beyond his limits.
By the time the last day finished, Yamato's muscles have developed to an insane degree. Although he still had the same lean figure, his muscles were tight and compact. A shadow of a demon's face could be seen from his back muscles. To say it was fruitful was the least you could say. It was extremely effective.
In these times Yamato had thoughts of giving up, but for some reason he remembered his friends cheering him on. He pushed himself forwards. He pushed himself even harder with each passing day.
"Any normal person would've gone insane from this kind of training. I'm not gonna ask what pushed you forwards. I'm just going to say this. You have my respect Yamato." Baki said as he extended his hands towards him. Yamato grabbed his hands and stood up.
"Now it's time for the real show! Show me your resolve! Naoe Yamato!" Yamato nodded his head. They did some light stretching a distance from each other. After a few minutes they both took a stance. Yamato adopted Juri's stance. While Baki spread his feet apart and put his right fist forwards.
The two clashed, day in and day out. It felt like those remaining 17 days passed them by quickly. The first 10 days was Yamato putting everything he learned the past 40 days. The last 7 days were spent beating the shit out of each other. Yamato managed to exchange blows with Baki. By the end of the last Day he was strong enough to put up a proper fight.
[Time's up!]
The two bowed at each other. "That was fun, Yamato. You've managed to defy my expectations time and time again. You've become strong." He said with a pure smile. Yamato smiled back, "Thank you for all your teachings, Baki!" He said as he bowed once more. Baki scratched his head, "Man, I didn't think teaching womeone was this fun! Thanks for all the good memories bro! I'll see you around!"
"If you ever find yourself in my world, I'll show you around." Yamato said to Baki with a smile. Baki laughed, "Sure! I'll do the same." He said as he turned into blue particles of light.
[Quest Completed - Automatically recieved the Jindai Kaiki(Regression to the Age of Gods)]
Yamato was instantly assaulted by a wave of pain, however this time he stood still. He just closed his eyes and withstood the pain. The pain gradually increased but his pain tolerance was puched to the extreme limits a minute passed by and he could barely feel any pain. A few more minutes passed and he opened his eyes.
His brown eyes slowly turned a shade of bright blue. He stared at the ground and saw various red lines. Instinctively he understood what they represented. He closed his eyes once more as his eyes returned to normal.
[Mystic Eyes of Death Perception now unsealed.]
[Waiting for next opponent.]
