Bab 47: Chapter 47: The Legend of the Vampire King

It's a principle that holds across species – a single progenitor per generation.

Or none at all.

The situation was similar for the Werewolves. Despite losing their progenitor, they still possessed a formidable alpha werewolf of extraordinary strength, often likened to the vampire king's power. Thus, they managed to endure.

Within the imposing halls of a dread-inspiring castle, reminiscent of France's Château de Chambord but exuding a far more sinister aura, a sense of majesty twisted into something more horrifying. 

Should a human approach, the stench of blood would assail their senses, the castle radiating an ancient malevolence.

Legend held that the castle's very stones were hewn from the flesh of the damned and cemented with the blood of the despondent. 

This tale seemed fitting, considering the castle's appearance – resembling a colossal mound of deceased forms, particularly unsettling to those of a delicate disposition.
