"Why?" she had asked, her voice trembling with hurt and disbelief. "Why did you push me toward them? I thought we were best friends!"

Li Yuan had looked down, guilt written all over her face.

"I'm sorry… I was under too much pressure. I didn't mean it. My mind wasn't clear."

Wang Bao had wanted to scream at her, to tell her how betrayed she felt.

But in the end, she had decided to let it slide. Li Yuan was her best friend, after all. Maybe it really had been an accident. Maybe the fear had gotten to her.

But things had only gotten worse from there.
