Plus, I overheard the general and the others talking about wiping out Boss Su's base. It wasn't hard to guess that you might be connected."

Su Jiyai's eyebrow arched as if to ask, And how did you overhear that conversation?

Jake shrugged as if the answer wasn't important. He ignored her questioning gaze and continued with his interrogation.

"Can you control where people are sent when they're sucked into your portal?"

Su Jiyai shook her head, her powers still too unpredictable for such precise control. She had never been able to decide where the portals would lead.

Jake frowned but accepted her answer. "Do you have any powers besides fire and opening portals?"

Once again, Su Jiyai shook her head.
