The only downside to this alternative is that I haven't gathered any resources yet, and even if we found something, you'd have to protect me until I finished my advancement." Layla finished her speech and gave Bella the only viable options for her.

Bella listened to everything and silently thought about what to do. She didn't want to give up on her companion because if it hadn't been for the two people who had helped her earlier, she would be dead now.

But she knew that if she insisted on going after the last remaining one, she would have to do it alone since Layla would certainly not go with her under the current circumstances.

So it was up to her to find Vicente and get his help or wait for Layla to advance in level.
