The thought of marrying Yanxi had never crossed his mind, not once.

"Hehe…" Lin Wan chuckled suddenly, addressing Xiao Yichen, "You won't marry her? You and her parents have already begun discussing your marriage. You won't marry her?"

Xiao Yichen's heart ached upon hearing Lin Wan's words. He hadn't even explained the news to her before she spoke again.

"Last night, you mentioned attending a party. I assumed you were with her," Lin Wan candidly shared her thoughts from the time, her laughter tinted with bitterness. "Today's news appears to confirm my speculation."

"Xu Yanxi is attractive, highly educated, and comes from a prominent family. She suits you in every aspect. Moreover, you two are close friends. She is a far better match to you than I am," Lin Wan said, mocking herself as she expressed these sentiments.
