Bab 188: Why Is Wan'er Here?

"Hello, Chen." Lin Wan answered the call.

"Mm, are you busy with work today?" Xiao Yichen's voice was filled with gentleness.

"I'm not busy," Lin Wan replied.

"Okay," Xiao Yichen responded. "Wan'er, I might be home late in the afternoon. You can go back and eat first. You don't have to wait for me."

"Okay, I understand," Lin Wan replied, thinking that Xiao Yichen must have had something important and decided not to question further.

After a few more sentences, they hung up the phone.

Half an hour later, Xu Yanxi arrived at the East Mansion, and upon seeing Xiao Yichen occupied in his office, she patiently waited in the lounge area.

However, Xiao Yichen didn't come out of the office until past five in the afternoon.

Xiao Yichen was not surprised to see Xu Yanxi sitting there.

"Chen, are you done?" Xu Yanxi greeted him with enthusiasm, taking his arm affectionately.
