He said this dramatically, taking a hearty slurp of his instant noodles. A sudden coughing fit overcame him, but he quickly resumed eating with gusto.

Liam chuckled in response, "Feels like I'm feeding a stray kitten. By the way, you can use the shower if you want. There's still some water in the plastic container. I collected it when the water supply was still running."

Amused by Liam's offer, Hobe asked, "Wait, are you an angle?"

Liam replied with a simple, "No."

As the realization dawned on him, Hobe couldn't help but express a touch of regret in his voice, admitting, "I should've been more prepared, like you, Liam."

"I collect water as a precaution. Usually, I shower at Alina's place. It's a common practice for newly sponsored Slayer Knights to use facilities provided by those with more experience." Liam explained.

"You could use Jenny's shower; she should be fine with it. Want me to take you there?"
