Bab 137: Getting on your knees

Jia Li was relieved that her parents were not harmed in all this, but the Grand Empress Dowager's arm was injured. Xianwu still had not returned, causing her heart to palpitate in fear every second that passed. 

She was standing at the manor's entrance, her eyes begging to get Xianwu's sight. 

"Why doesn't the Crown Princess head inside?" Chen Xin inquired. 

Jia Li shook her head. 

"Your Royal Highness's palm is wounded. At least, she should dress it," Chen Xin suggested with concern. 

This time, Jia Li remained quiet. She lifted right her hand and looked at it before dropping it. Her eyes looked regretful, and she blamed herself for all that. She saw her death closely once more. Only if Xianwu had not caught that arrow, it would have pierced right through her eye, killing her on the spot.
