Every person has a memory ball in them, and after their death, if any of the person's family members desire to cherish the person's memories, they could rip it out of the person or use magic to gather it up from the dead person's remains. Alina had gathered Enzo's, so he could remember his memories once she brings him back to life.

Even Rhea remembered holding her mother's memory ball untill it was taken and broken by her stepsister, Zoorah.

Rhea clutched tightly to Enzo's memory ball, "Let me and my husband out of your spell then I will give it back to you."
