Bab 91: Battle Day (4)

Alex's concentration snapped back to the present when he heard another ringing sound from the battlefield. What he saw next was wilder than the wildest of his nightmares. 

The lightning mage was struck by the werewolf, his chest impaled by the strong punch. As the werewolf pulled its fist out, he looked at the heart grabbed in his hand.

The mage's body fell lifeless on the ground, with a hole in his chest.

"AAarrrggghhhhh!!!" Alex vomited; blood mixed with puke.

With his left hand, he grabbed onto the wound to stop the blood flow. But the werewolf couldn't care less, as it opened its fist to monstrously look at the object in its palms. 

A fist-sized organ, thumping blood. It was the heart he scorched out of the lightning mage. Almost without any hesitation, the werewolf put the bloodied organ in its mouth and started chewing it like gum.
