The King's Palace was abuzz with preparations as Prince Cederic's carriage rolled up after its short trip from Reqiel's Palace.

Princess Aethel was waiting in front of the palace with a bright smile on her face. Reqiel felt slightly better when he saw her, he had been quite distant from his friend for a while now.

It also made him realize that although there were bad sides, there were also positives like Princess Aethel and his freedom to leave the Royal Palace, and also read the books he liked. It wasn't all that he wanted but it was a far better upgrade from how he lived in the Celestial Realm, it wouldn't do him good to get greedy now.

He accepted Cederic's offer to help him down from the carriage, Aethel running across to hug him with a bright smile. "Reqiel! I was worried that you would run late."
