Bab 93: Being a Nuisance

Wu Jia put on a pitiful expression and said, "I was so bored, and I haven't found a suitable job yet, so I ended up watching TV at your place. And, of course, watching TV requires some chips, so I bought some."

An exasperated Xia Xin replied, "But why did you have to make such a mess at home?"

Tears welled up instantly in Wu Jia's eyes. She said, "Are you blaming me? I didn't do it on purpose. When you eat, crumbs are bound to scatter around. I accidentally dirtied the sofa, that's all. Are you mad at me?"

Xia Xin thought, 'How could tears flow so easily?'

Suddenly, Xia Xin felt that something was amiss. It seemed like something was missing from her home. She searched the living room and then realized that Layle was gone!

Panicking, Xia Xin raised her voice and asked, "Where's Layle?"

Wu Jia pointed towards Xia Xin's room with her chin and said "Oh, it's playing in your room."
