"When have you become the law that you want to take matters into your own hands?" Kathleen reprimanded with the same amount of anger.

"Moreover, whether he had succeeded in killing me or not has nothing to do with you. Or is it your death?"

"Kathleen!" roared Shawn, forgetting for a moment that they were not alone.

With just a step he caught her wrist and pulled her against him.

"I.. mmmm," The rest of Kathleen's words were swallowed in a fierce kiss.

Kathleen froze, her muscles locked in a momentary paralysis, her eyes widening in astonishment as Shawn's hot lips pressed against hers.

The warmth of his breath sent a current running through her body and at that very second, Kathleen's mind went blank.

She never expected that Shawn would suddenly kiss her.

She was not the only person shocked by Shawn's sudden kiss.

Dr Sullivan blinked with incredulity. "Am I seeing things?" he muttered,
