When Whitebeard and his crew appeared, someone immediately screamed. This caused a chain reaction, and soon everyone was cheering, attracting more and more people.

Facing the emotional crowd, Whitebeard stepped forward. He looked down and spoke with certainty, "Everyone, this war against Kaido is to understand and save Wanokuni. And yes, to support the rightful successor of this country. After the war, I hope you will stand by him as the shogun."
"The Kozuki family, they're the true rulers of Wanokuni. The Kurozumi family today is nothing but rebels!"
"We stand with Momonosuke!"
"We hope Whitebeard-sama will protect us in the future. We'll always be your loyal followers."
"Whitebeard-sama, we have some food here. If you need it, please take it all."
Many people had brought out their own food. Whitebeard knew well that these people were struggling to get enough to eat, yet they were offering their support. Their heartfelt gesture was a tremendous source of support for Whitebeard.

"Hey there, little girl, what's your name?" Whitebeard asked, pointing to a girl with purple hair.
"Me? I'm Tama," she replied, flattered.
"Tama, have we met before?"
Whitebeard asked again. The onlookers watched with relief, seeing it as a warm exchange between Whitebeard and the children.
"I didn't know much before, but everyone says Whitebeard is really strong, and only you can help us," Tama replied promptly.
"I might not understand everything, but I know you. My son used to talk about you a lot," Whitebeard said with a smile.
"Who's your son?" Tama asked curiously.
"Ace."
Whitebeard calmly mentioned the name, but Tama was taken aback. The name was so familiar to her, more than familiar—it held a promise. She had been waiting for Ace to come back, to fulfill their agreement.
"Ace, it's Ace!"
Someone immediately recognized the name. Those who had been helped by Ace before didn't forget his kindness.
Tama's eyes welled up with tears as she asked in a trembling voice, "Whitebeard-sama, where is Ace now? Has he come here?"
Whitebeard felt a twinge of helplessness and regret at Tama's question. He didn't know how to answer in a way that wouldn't make the little girl sad, but it seemed there was no avoiding the truth.
"Ace isn't here anymore," Whitebeard said softly.
Behind Whitebeard, Marco and the others felt a wave of emotion wash over them.
Their expressions turned heavy, as Ace's death was a great loss for them, the Whitebeard Pirates, and left a deep scar among their brotherhood.
Charles Vane, Tesla, Weevil, Benjamin, and some newer crew members were less affected. They joined the crew later.
Marco, Jozu, Vista, and others had met Ace before, and Jinbei was even more involved in the Ace incident. They were witnesses and had a closer relationship with Ace.
