Though unable to move freely, Smoothie could still utilize her Devil Fruit ability. Charles Vane watched as Smoothie straightened her body and began to rotate automatically.
The rotation seemed strange , as Smoothie rotated in two different directions simultaneously: her upper body spinning left while her lower body spun right.
Smoothie twisted her body in two directions, as if wringing out a towel, temporarily expelling the bodily fluids from her body.
Soon, Smoothie's body became dry and stiff, resembling a piece of cloth. She rotated within the wind wall of the tornado, akin to paper being drawn into a drum washing machine.
Seeing Smoothie in this state, Charles Vane was immediately alarmed. He thought she had been injured to end up like this, so he quickly stopped the tornado.
Smoothie drifted down gradually, and Charles Vane immediately asked with concern, "Smoothie, are you okay?"
However, under Charles Vane's watchful gaze and caring tone, Smoothie suddenly reverted to her original state, only to launch a surprise attack on Charles Vane.

Smoothie exclaimed in shock, dropping the long sword from her hand with a loud clatter.
"It seems that you are really not injured."
Brother Charles Vane shook his head and said.
"Why didn't you turn into Wind?"
Smoothie shouted.
"Your sword was too fast. It was my slight loss,"
Charles Vane replied.
"No, that's not it,"
Smoothie shook her head. She knew deep down that Charles Vane had genuinely cared about her just now, which was why he had revealed such an obvious flaw.
"What a fool!"
Smoothie scolded bitterly.
"Hey, why do you keep saying I'm stupid? Maybe it's true,"
Charles Vane sighed.
However, the sword wound wasn't fatal for Charles Vane. It was the first time he had been injured and bled, so he sighed a little.
"Smoothie, look over there"
Charles Vane said to Smoothie.

"What do you want to say?"

Of course, blood ties don't always equate to deep bonds, but in the case of the Big Mom Pirates, it's different. Surrendering to the Whitebeard Pirates isn't just a moral dilemma—it's seen as betrayal against their own mother.
Moreover, as a strong woman, Smoothie has the dignity of the strong. Being one of the highest-ranking members of the Big Mom pirate, if she surrenders easily, it'll deal a heavy blow to the entire crew's morale.
"Impossible. Even if we're facing defeat, I'll fight alongside all my brothers and sisters to the end!"
Smoothie said firmly.
Charles Vane shook his head solemnly, feeling regretful that he couldn't persuade Smoothie to surrender. This meant they would have to defeat her in battle.
Alas.….
"Charles Vane, you're a worthy opponent. My attack just now wasn't honorable. Let's wait for your injury to heal before continuing our fight"
Smoothie said.
"Alright," Charles Vane nodded.
And here they are, sitting and chatting together watching the battlefield

Meanwhile, far from the battlefield, Capone Bege began searching for Kid and Killer.
"Damn it, Katakuri managed to snatch Brule back, and we missed our chance"
Capone Bege muttered sadly as he drove along the road in tank form.
Despite Brule's successful capture earlier, it seemed like he had managed to escape their pursuers. However, the final outcome remained unchanged.
His initial plan was to coerce Brule with her Mirror Fruit ability and infiltrate Big Mom's Cake Island. With that plan now in ruins, his only option is to find Kid and the others to resume their previous alliance.
Kid and Killer quickly noticed the conspicuous moving target from atop the mountain.
"Isn't that Capone Bege?"
Kid was the first to spot Capone Bege.
"Yeah, it's him. Didn't he split off? I didn't expect him to come here too,"
Killer remarked.
"With the battle expanding to almost half of the island, it's no surprise he's ended up here,"
Kid observed.
After Kid and Killer take initiative to come out hiding, Capone Bege promptly made his way to meet them.
"Capone Bege, when we split up earlier, I thought you'd make your escape. Got any tricks up your sleeve for this situation?"
Kid laughed as he greeted Capone Bege.
"Don't mention it. We're all in this together now,"
Capone Bege replied casually.
"Yep, all we can do now is wait for the battle to end"
Killer remarked.
"Are you just going to sit tight here? With the battle between the two Emperor pirate crews raging and the situation outside the battlefield changing quickly, shouldn't we consider taking some action?"
Capone Bege inquired.
"What do you mean?"
Kid furrowed their brow in confusion.
"Why don't we join forces and take Big Mom Ship to make our big move and escape from here?"
Capone-Bege proposed
"Take the ship?"
Kid and Killer exchanged surprised glances with each other.
"This is too risky. Just because they're fighting doesn't mean they don't have backup"
Killer cautioned immediately.
However, while Killer is cautious, Kid is more willing to take risks.
"I think we should give it a shot. Waiting around for the war to end isn't getting us anywhere. We've got nothing to lose,"
Kid agreed quickly
"Are you sure about this? Pulling a risky move like this could backfire big time,"
Killer objected once more.
"Mr. Killer, in this pirate era, you've got to take risks to reap the rewards. Otherwise, you'll end up with nothing!"
Capone-Bege said with some burning ambition
