Bab 100: Mysterious visitor

NICO 

Cat is staring at me like I have two heads. It's not a surprise considering what I just said. 

"Nico…" she's looking at me so nervously that I can't help wanting to tease her some more. But if I let her say whatever is on her mind, we may have to start walking on eggshells around each other. 

I knock her forehead with my knuckle gently. "Not that kind of jealousy, silly. I was your friend first, but you fell in love with him and no longer had time for anything else." 

"Oh. Phew." She lets out a sigh of relief. 

"Is it that bad for me to like you?" I muse. 

She shakes her head. "It's just…it would be awkward if that were to happen." 

I know exactly the kind of awkwardness she's talking about. I've been witnessing it more often lately. 

The little assassin. My mind keeps rushing back to her. 

"What if you had to choose between us?" I ask just to be funny. Cat grabs a cushion and smashes me with it.
