While Huan Yi finished another demolition job, in the Linzi royal residence, another man got busy. With his puppet father standing at his right, Zi Shou sat in an underground torture chamber, watching dozens of members of the royal guard nailed to the ground and bleeding to death.

"Why…Crown Prince…Your Majesty…Why?" One lucid royal guard asked. In recent days, Zi Shou had his puppet father transfer the entirety of the royal guard into Linzi. Then, group by group, he had them brought to this underground dungeon, and tortured to near death by Zi Xian.

The royal guard was made up of men that had been raised from infancy to live and die for the King of Yin. So, even when they suspected that something fishy was taking place in that underground dungeon, they didn't resist the order, walking to their deaths with steadfast loyalty. This royal guard was no different. But even if he had to die in such a disgraceful way, he wanted to understand…why.
