"Baby, I ask you, do not rise from the bed. You are not yet well! Ackerly's voice boomed with fury as he berated his mate for daring to rise from the bed despite the injury that marred his side.

Two weeks had passed since the fateful encounter with the rogues. The Sun Forest Pack expressed deep gratitude towards their vampire allies, particularly their revered King. After three days of respite at the pack, they departed. The members of the pack labored in unison, their collective efforts aimed at restoring order to their shared territory.

"I assure you, there is no cause for concern. I am quite alright. I can handle myself. "I have to look after our pack." Alpha Killan's voice trembled as he spoke to his mate.

A heavy sigh escaped Ackerly's lips as he gently assisted Killan back to his bed, helping him lie down with care.
