Bab 246: The Bear Attack

Accompanied by Uncle William, Suri was introduced to the people of the village. William seemed to understand her. The man never stopped her from accepting kindness from the village people in the form of food or drink. Perhaps if Suri was with Ronan, she would just stand around, waiting for her overprotective father's permission.

William did not forbid Suri from doing anything. The man just stood and watched one step behind the girl. Seeing her sincere smile warmed his heart. Ronan and Arielle should have granted Suri more freedom.

William knew that Suri was a friendly and polite girl. However, often her smile was just a meaningless smile. Only the curve of her lips curled up, but it didn't really show her feelings. But now Suri could express herself more freely. William smiled gently as he watched the Princess. Suri deserved all the happiness in this world, he thought.
