"I can't eat with the stench of a human around me," he answered firmly.
"Edna, take the food and throw it in the trash," Maxieno ordered from his chair. Edna immediately walked closer, but her steps halted when the dragon threw a glare at her. She took a step back, scared.
The bearded man with long, full of gray hair pushed his chair more roughly until the chair fell. Edna pressed herself against the wall as the dragon approached.
"Disgusting," cursed the dragon, then left the meeting room.
Edna bit her lip to keep herself from crying. She was terrified, but there was nothing she could do to protect herself. Maxieno called Edna again to clean up the leftover food that the dragon had not touched.
With a trembling body, Edna took the plate. Maxieno could see the fear in the girl's expression. And for some reason, it pissed him off even more.
Otis and Edna took all the plates from the table, and the meeting continued. This time, Maxieno told Edna to stay.
