Bab 52: Edna's Decision

"Go! You damn thief!" he snapped at the boy.

Luca, who reached for the money bag, was taken aback when his master suddenly teleported away before his eyes. He looked back and found Maximilian holding Edna who almost slumped to the ground. Both of them then disappeared instantly.

"Oh, damn it," Luca cursed. He quickly ran from that place to catch up with Edna and Maximillian.

Maximillian led Edna to his room. He then put the girl down on the bed gently. Edna's face was very red, and she was panting hard. Maximillian stretched out his hand and found her body was extremely hot.

"Fever?"

Edna's eyelashes fluttered, then her eyes opened slowly. Maximilian lowered his hand, covering the girl's eyes with his palm.

"Go to sleep, Edna," the man said.

Maximillian tried to absorb the heat that coursed through Edna's body.

After a moment, Edna felt her body become lighter. She breathed more easily and slowly. Something comfortable then made her fall into a deep sleep.
