"Hmm? It's you again, huh?"
When Uchiha Madara stepped out of that coffin, the first thing he did was observe his surroundings to determine his current situation.
It must be said that this was indeed a clever idea, considering he had lost track of things the last time and didn't want to encounter a similar situation again, even if he didn't care much about it.
His approach was extremely wise, and after confirming a few things, he could be sure that he had been resurrected in the form of Edo Tensei once again.
Because he once again spotted the figure of Orochimaru, the one who had summoned him the last time.
However, he didn't immediately choose to take action, even though he sensed that his strength this time was much higher than the last.
After all, he could sense that Orochimaru's control over him was evidently more powerful than before.
Moreover, Uchiha Madara wasn't interested in breaking free from this kind of restraint. Being resurrected in this state was not much different from humiliation for him.
"I apologize for disturbing your slumber. I just encountered some matters and hope to get some confirmation from you," Orochimaru said, licking his lips, a strange smile on his face. However, Uchiha Madara didn't buy into his words at all.
Uchiha Madara glanced at him indifferently and then spoke disdainfully, "Hypocritical little brat, if you only wanted me to answer some questions, why did you use such fine materials to resurrect me as Edo Tensei? And you don't need to be on guard like this; I think I won't even need to lift a finger to kill you. You won't even have a chance to control me because I'm not the same as before."
Orochimaru fell silent for a moment, then nodded quietly.
It was not surprising that his thoughts had been read, but he realized that he had overlooked something about this guy, Uchiha Madara - his eyes.
Uchiha Madara is a formidable and well-rounded terror, and the true extent of his Doujutsu abilities remains unclear.
Although Orochimaru never really believed that genjutsu could pose a threat to him, he still needed to be cautious when facing Uchiha's genjutsu.
Just like the one-eyed Sharingan user, Uchiha Itachi, a simple genjutsu from the Mangekyou Sharingan had affected him.
Even though Uchiha Madara hadn't reached his peak under Orochimaru's control, this guy's power was definitely not a joke.
"I was negligent, and I was arrogant. I did summon you not only to learn some things but also with other intentions," Orochimaru admitted without hesitation.
When you make a mistake, you admit it. For many shinobi, one mistake could mean the end of their lives because one wrong move might lead to their disappearance without a trace.
Orochimaru didn't know why Uchiha Madara had disclosed this, but it was enough to raise his guard.
However, Orochimaru didn't dwell on this matter any further. Instead, he began to ask his questions seriously.
"I want to know, what are the limits of the Uchiha, or in other words, Uchiha Kaito, who has once again experienced significant improvement? Where do his limits lie?"
"The limits of the Uchiha, the limits of Uchiha Kaito?" Uchiha Madara interlocked his fingers, and upon hearing this question, he became somewhat interested, especially upon hearing about Uchiha Kaito.
Someone who was so similar to himself and even had dreams similar to his own, he couldn't help but be intrigued.
However, Orochimaru's question seemed a bit vague, making it difficult for Uchiha Madara to answer.
Seeing that his question was unclear, Orochimaru took the time to provide a detailed description of everything he had recently sensed.
He also elaborated on the situation involving Zetsu, and this description raised Uchiha Madara's eyebrows.
To be honest, he was somewhat surprised by this display of power, even when compared to his own combat capabilities at that age.
After all, since the establishment of Konoha, he had been close to the pinnacle of power. The First Raikage was no match for him, and as for the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki?
The Nine-Tails was just his plaything, something he could toy with at will. He couldn't be bothered with the Eight-Tails.
However, he didn't mind answering Orochimaru's question because he knew that Orochimaru had summoned him to deal with Uchiha Kaito.
"Based on your description, that kid seems to have reached the pinnacle of Mangekyou Sharingan under Susanoo."
Uchiha Madara spoke in a calm tone, his emotions showing little fluctuation.
"With this level of power, dealing with the Eight-Tails is actually feasible. After all, the ultimate third stage of Susanoo provides strong defense but lacks mobility. Perhaps because of this lack of mobility, he had no choice but to engage in a direct confrontation with the Eight-Tails, and his abilities do make it possible."
"He must have clashed with the Eight-Tails' Tailed Beast Ball, or else there wouldn't be such a terrifying outcome."
Orochimaru nodded lightly upon hearing Uchiha Madara's analysis. He couldn't help but acknowledge that Uchiha Madara was the one who understood the Uchiha clan's abilities the best.
Even with such fragmented information, Uchiha Madara could deduce a lot of intelligence. Though all these clues only confirmed one thing: Kaito's power was becoming increasingly terrifying.
For Orochimaru, this was a double-edged sword. What was worth celebrating was that he had gained some basic information about Kaito. What worried him was that Kaito's current strength seemed to exceed his expectations.
Although they had a certain level of connection and cooperation, fundamentally, they stood on opposing sides. Repeatedly clashing with Kaito might one day render Orochimaru useless, making it difficult for him to survive in the shinobi world.
That guy had even discovered the key elements to Orochimaru's revival. Being targeted by such a dangerous individual was definitely not a good thing.
"I have another question that I'd like to confirm," Orochimaru said, despite his underlying concerns.
"Is it possible for the Uchiha's power to merge with the power of the Senju clan?"
"It is possible, but it is very difficult, and very few have accomplished it."
Upon hearing this news, Uchiha Madara immediately furrowed his brow, but he did not deny it, and he also seemed to have an idea.
"You learned this from Uchiha Kaito, didn't you? That kid is exceptionally talented, and the most crucial thing is that he's continually realizing his potential. Although I don't know how he discovered this secret, his success doesn't surprise me."
"That's right!"
Orochimaru couldn't help but smile upon hearing this news. He had confirmed the answer he most wanted to hear.
The conversation with Uchiha Madara held extraordinary significance for him. Although some things were still unclear and required further verification, having Uchiha Madara made it easier to draw conclusions about many matters.
"By the way, there's one last question," Orochimaru said with a good mood, smiling as he asked, "Isn't it said that the Mangekyou Sharingan can control Tailed Beasts? Why didn't Uchiha Kaito attempt such a method and instead engage in a direct confrontation with the Tailed Beasts? Also, why did you tell me that your Mangekyou Sharingan could control me? Aren't you worried I might take countermeasures?"
"For the first question, he couldn't do it because he didn't possess the necessary techniques. Those things have already been taken by me," Uchiha Madara replied indifferently. As for the second question, he looked disdainfully at Orochimaru and said, "As for the second question, a rat like you isn't even on my radar. What harm is there in telling you? Remember, I am Uchiha Madara!"
"You're on the move again?" In the Konoha camp, Tsunade looked at Kaito with some confusion. She couldn't quite understand what was going on with Kaito, as he seemed to be thinking about going out again.
To be honest, Tsunade was already quite rattled by Kaito's actions. This guy seemed to make major moves every time, and she couldn't predict what he would do next.
From what she knew, this included, but was not limited to, selling arms in the Land of Bears and, incidentally, bringing back members of an organization. Then, in the second instance of selling arms, it had resulted in a confrontation with Orochimaru and others, leading to the capture of Deidara, one of the disciples of Ōnoki, and even causing Kitsuchi to die during the mission.
Kitsuchi's death had pinned the blame on Kaito, although both Jiraiya and Tsunade secretly believed that Kaito was responsible for it. However, they had no evidence and couldn't prove it.
The consequence of bearing this blame was that it had triggered a war between Konoha and Iwagakure, and this guy had once again clashed with Orochimaru when he came to the front lines.
Although this clash had yielded a series of intelligence, the aftermath of that encounter was not insignificant. It had raised questions among everyone.
And when it came to intelligence matters, Kaito had taken action once again, and this time, the results of his actions were even bigger and more terrifying.
This guy had actually defeated the Fourth Raikage and the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, bringing them back as captives!
