The mercenaries exchanged uneasy glances. "That thing's on our side, right?" one of them asked, wide-eyed. But the moment they saw the horror on the faces of the Veridiana forces, and noticed their own wizards standing unfazed at the sight of the massive golem, their fear quickly twisted into a collective grin.

No words needed to be spoken. The Veridiana soldiers were retreating, while the mercenaries, like wolves stalking prey, closed in, steadily driving them into a corner.

With their morale skyrocketing, the mercenaries surged into battle, their newfound confidence overwhelming the already shaken Veridiana soldiers. The soldiers, looking utterly defeated, raised their shields in a feeble defense—some even considering fleeing from what now seemed like an impossible fight.
