Bab 36: soba noodles
{At a soba noodle shop in the land of iron's capital}
Isane,Hozuki were sitting with Suzune,Mizugetsu and Hori eating soba noodles.Kuki on the other hand was sitting alone at the table slurping on 7-8 bows of Soba,taking up all the space on the table
"That boy sure can eat hahaha"Suzune chuckled seeing the small Kuki eating 5 adults worth of food
"When it comes to eating noodles,no one can out eat him,it's like he has a spare stomach just for noodles"Hozuki added while watching Kuki stuff his face with soba
"Mghhhh mhmgh!"Kuki let out an incompressible muffled sound while stuffing his face looking delighted
*Slam* Suddenly, the restaurant's doors where slam opened
Two boys walked into the soba shop ,the one in the front was wearing an annoyed expression(the one that slammed the door),Kuki looked up and thought that his face was very punchable,he had a very scrawny build,he looked malnourished,his deep purple eyes and jawline where as sharp as knives,he had purple down flowing hair and bags under his eyes
The other boy was walking timidly behind the first boy,he was profusely apologizing as he walked into the shop,he had a healthy expression,short blue hair and blue eyes
The shop was full at the moment,they looked around and saw that Kuki was sitting alone ,seeing that Kuki is still a child,the two boys started walking towards Kuki
"Umm,excuse us but can we sit with you?"The blue-haired boy asked Kuki politely,Kuki stopped his slurping and replied "I'll give you the table when I'm finished with my food"Kuki said and then continued slurping
"B-but,you're eating so much,can we just sit with you?"the blue-haired boy awkwardly asked
"Worry not,I'll slurp faster"Kuki said in a deadpan voice and slurped faster
Seeing that the asking failed,the purple-haired boy got impatient
"Move it Haru!"
He shoved the blue-haired boy out of the way,making him stumble to the ground as he approached Kuki
"Listen here kid,I'm an up and coming samurai so you better scram and give me your table or things will get ugly." The purple-haired boy shouted menacingly at Kuki.
Seeing that the situation,Hozuki started to fume,got up to stop the jerk but Isane stopped him "We're in public Hozuki,don't cause a scene,Kuki will handle it appropriately,I hope…"
"Can't you see that I'm still eating?just wait a sec will you"Kuki casually replied before continuing to slurp the last of his noodles
"Are you deaf kid,I'm a samurai,why should I wait for a filthy villager like you to finish your damn noodles?!?!"The jerk shouted
"Can't wait huh?"Kuki stopped drinking his last bow of noodles broth and and asked the jerk while weirdly grinning "why don't you help me finish it then"
*Splash* abruptly,Kuki splashed his last bow of broth onto the jerk's body,soaking his clothes and hair
"YOU DARE-"The jerk screamed as he prepared to pull out his weapon while smelling like soba
Meanwhile,Kuki started giggling maniacally preparing himself to fight the purple-haired samurai.
"Stop this!both of you"Suzune stepped in the middle of the two samurai.
"Samurais are forbidden from dueling in public ,this can get both of your samurai titles revoked!" Suzune stated ,the purple-haired boy stopped drawing his weapon after recognizing Suzune as a Samurai captain
"Kuki,Hozuki we're leaving"Isane stood up and walked beside Kuki with Hozuki following behind him.
"Here's your table"Hozuki sneered at the jerk as they walked out of the restaurant.
The jerk clenched his fist as veins appeared on his face while the blue boy was being flustered.
"You,save that anger for later,you'll be meeting them in the next round anyways"Suzune said to the two boys before leaving with Mizugetsu and Hori.
